Supporting the Future of EV Charging

We are helping an innovative company in their mission to revolutionise the future of electric vehicle charging with its advanced solutions and cutting-edge technology. 

We fabricate plastics parts for Birmingham-based Voltempo’s 1MW+ HyperCharger, – a major step forward for zero-emission logistics in the UK helping decarbonise commercial fleet through faster and easier charging.

Early in 2025 Voltempo reached out looking for a Midland supplier for components for their revolutionary charger.

On the face of it Wrights Plastics was a good fit – based practically around the corner and with a long history of manufacturing high volume precision plastic components in related sectors such as automotive and EV, with a specialism in vacuum forming we believed we could become a long-term partner.

NDA duly signed, we were able to get a better understanding of Voltempo and the parts required.

The fit grew closer. Like us Voltempo work with blue chip clients across many sectors – we even have clients in common – and their commitment to innovation was matched by their support for UK supply partners.

​Production started in April 2024 on four designs, and the range has since expanded & sees us fabricate mouldings, bases, panels and plates – with 100s of parts already made & shipped. Many parts are vacuum-formed from our precision tooling and CNC machined for a precision finish. Production of all components is carried out inhouse.
