Lee Burnham has joined Wrights Plastics as Technical Account Manager.

Lee brings over 15 years of experience in the vacuum forming / plastic fabrication sector to his new position that will see him overseeing our existing customer base, as well as develop new clients and expand our service offering. With several client meetings already undertaken, Lee has hit the ground running.

Bringing Decades of Experience to Drive Innovation and Growth

In 1996. Lee joined Cox Wokingham Plastics in an internal sales role, a job that enabled him to combine his sales experience with the knowledge learned during an MOD Engineering Apprenticeship with Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers, and he was soon appointed Office Manager overseeing not just office sales but involvement in branding and marketing. During his time the company transitioned to largely focus on plastic fabrication services, such as vacuum forming and drape moulding.

From MOD Apprentice to Sales Director

After leaving in 2002, he expanded his sales and engineering expertise in a variety of roles but returned to Cox Wokingham in 2011, seeing rapid promotion from Internal Sales to Key Account Manager to Sales Director, overseeing sometimes £m+ contacts in sectors such as aerospace and transport. The company was sold to venture capitalists in 2012, and the prospect of another change of management in 2019 was the catalyst for Lee to seek new pastures.

Setting up and running a garden maintenance business proved highly successful but old habits and careers die hard and Lee decided the time was now the [W]right time to return to the sector.

Supporting Clients, Strengthening Capabilities, Championing Sustainability

Even at interview, Lee felt Wright’s seemed a ‘comfortable, friendly’ place to work and a good fit for his career to date.

Lee not only hopes to grow the thermoforming services arm of the business, he is keen to use his technical knowledge and material credibility to strengthen our technical ability – working with clients to deliver more effective, durable, and effective parts, products and components at the best possible price.

And he is delighted to support one of our key aims – to develop the most sustainable solutions.
