We are investing in solar power to reduce our carbon footprint.
We are taking full advantage of 46000sq ft West Bromwich base by installing solar panels on 90% of our roof space. As you can see from the photo that’s a lot of roof! And that means we will be able to generate a lot of renewable carbon-free energy that will reduce our energy-use and significantly lower our impact on the environment.
The work on installing the panels has already started and should be completed by the end of February.
DEVELOPING A MORE SUSTAINABLE APPROACH
Developing a more sustainable approach to how we work is a very important to our organisation, and our investment in solar energy is just the latest in our ambitious plans to reduce our environmental impact that has seen us
- Invest £m in state-of-the-art machinery that minimises energy use and waste material
- Use recycled material wherever possible, including components for Jaguar Land Rover
- Improve segregation resulting in significantly more plastics sent for recycling
- Install an energy-efficient lighting system at our HQ that reduced C02 emissions by 17 tonnes a year
We continually work with our customers to develop the most sustainable option for their projects.

PROJECT UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2023
We are delighted to report all the solar panels have now been installed. As you can see from the photograph there has been quite a transformation on the factory roof but the most important transformation has been to internally as we are now generating renewable carbon free energy that will reduce our energy use and significantly lower our impact on the environment.
